Gloin

Bueno, pongo una nueva ilustración, esta vez homenajeando a la próxima película de "El Hobbit" y al mundo de J.R.R. Tolkien en general, del cual soy un apasionado seguidor. Me lo he planteado como trabajo de aprendizaje para futuros trabajos originales, he usado una fotografía promocional de la próxima película de Peter Jackson como referencia. Mi intención es pintar a los trece enanos para seguir practicando y mejorando, por lo que estar atentos a las próximas publicaciones.

Os dejo con un resumen de la pequeña historia de Gloin (sacado de la wikipedia):

Glóin es uno de los trece Enanos que parten a la aventura hacia Erebor en la compañía de Thorin. Él y su hermano Óin son los especialistas del grupo en encender fuego. Es uno de los diez enanos supervivientes a la aventura, por lo que recibe su parte en el tesoro de Smaug y se queda a vivir en Erebor. Es el padre del enano Gimli, uno de los protagonistas principales de El Señor de los Anillos.

Well, I put a new picture, this time honoring the upcoming film "The Hobbit" and the world of JRR Tolkien in general, of which I am a passionate fan. In TA 2799, Glóin was known to have fought in the Battle of Azanulbizar the last battle of the War of the Dwarves and Orcs. In TA 2941, Glóin and his brother Óin were among the dwarves accompanying Bilbo and Thorin and Company during their quest to theLonely Mountain (Erebor) to recapture it from the dragon Smaug. He was noted for his skills with a tinderbox and fought in the Battle of the Five Armies. After the battle, he settled in Lonely Mountain (Erebor). In October 25, 3018, he and his son Gimli attended the Council of Elrond in Rivendell.

Glóin died in FO 15 at the age of 253 years.

Tritón es un dios de la mitología Griega, mensajero del oceano. Es el hijo y heraldo de los dioses del mar Neptuno y Amphitrite. Normalmente se le representa como un sireno, con la parte superior del cuerpo humana y con cola de pez "motivos-marinos", según Ovid "sus hombros son percebes con conchas marinas"

He is usually represented as a merman, having the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish, "sea-hued", according to Ovid "his shoulders barnacled with sea-shells".
